I want to let you know about my last discovery. Once in a great while during the course of my experimentation I find a method that is effective which I can fully recommend. I am not talking about a new solution or trick that I have created. Rather a reinforcement of a method that I read about. I tried it. And it worked. We are talking about the duel usage of Minoxidil and Roller in a classic combination. Continue reading
Lipogaine has removed Azelaic acid from its ingredients. The reason for this seems be pressure from Amazon to remove the ingredient or their refusal to sell Lipogaine with the ingredient. As I have discussed previously Azelaic acid is a very important and useful ingredient for hair loss treatment. The ingredient has proven itself both in clinical trials and from my own personal experience. Specifically, it significantly reduces DHT on the scalp. There are other products such as Continue reading
Recently and unexpectedly my situation deteriorated to an extreme degree. However, to be perfectly honest, I had began not to be as careful and conscientious on my regime as I once was. For example: after every shower I had not used Alpecin, I missed a few days of using Minoxidil, for a long time I had not been using Jamaican Oil, and I was not diligent in the use of Carinagen. The results were not long in coming. Currently I am suffering more hair loss and my remaining hair is thinner.. Continue reading
Recently I have had a feeling that I am missing something. I looked at many forums around the world and I noticed a lot of talking about some products that I don’t know about and don’t know how to get. Most of these “products” are not exactly products. Instead, they are chemical ingredients that have been purchased in labs and then mixed at home. I am continuing with my regular regime but I have also started looking at the alternatives in order to take my treatment to the next level.
Although I have been using Minoxidil 5% from a number of different companies for several years, I have never recommended to anyone to start using Minoxidil. The main reason is that I have some theory, which I have never found evidence for, that Minoxidil causes dependence Continue reading
Well I decided to see how much my treatment costs per month and to explain why I am using each product. Please feel free to comment on the prices or if you think that I’m doing something wrong.
I must say that since I start using Lipogain I see a good change. I will add photos, probably next month. Continue reading
Treatment so far is more or less proving to be effective as far as preservation is concerned. Beyond that, I am still unable to say how far this could possibly go… Continue reading
One of my blog readers sent me a very organized list of questions recently, and seeing as some of them are questions I’ve seen in the past in mails and comments I get, I’ve decided to dedicate a post to answer them in full. Continue reading
The new regime I built earlier this month is working out pretty well so far, I have almost no hair loss and in addition some areas have slightly filled out (emphasis on slightly). Unlike previous times, I don’t want to give the credit for this to one product or the other, but just to review thoroughly Continue reading
My treatment since 2012 was characterized with a phenomenal improvement, fast results and a lot of optimism. Then came the downfall and several months of regression. Today, I’ve reached a point where I have no hair loss but I am pretty much back to where I started.
Last month I said that I have reached the best situation I’ve been in since a decade, and that really is the case in terms of hair loss (amount of hairs per day). In terms of the hair’s look, it’s quite a different story. Looks like I did a complete 360 and got back to the starting point. I could probably stay at this point for several good years but I am not in the least satisfied. If this is the maximum I can get from treatment I’d rather just shave it all off and quit… Continue reading
For the past three months now I have experienced almost zero hair loss. To the readers of this blog this sounds like an accomplishment but that accomplishment also brings about a big problem. If I were to build my treatment regiment 4 years ago, I would by now probably have an impressive amount of hair which I could preserve for many years to come. But the situation is not like that at all, seeing as I have reached some sort of “comfort zone” where I can keep what is already there. I’m pretty apprehensive about doing major treatment changes at the moment and do I find myself stuck in the same place, not losing hair, but not gaining it either. Continue reading
The substance is active in copper based products such as Graftcyte, Foligen, Tircomin or as a supplement in other products like Revita shampoo. At first glance and after reading some forums I have deducted that it is more of a cosmetic treatment of hair loss – hair thickness and body build, with no significant contribution to the actual hair loss issue. After finding out hair implant clinics recommend this to their clients, I decided to investigate it further. Continue reading
Perseverance paid off. After several pretty gloomy months I was finally start to see the beginning of a positive trend by the end of September. By October there was already amazing improvement, the hair loss had nearly completely stopped. November continued the trend and now there is even renewed growth in the front. However little it is, its still enough to understand that I’m doing something right. Continue reading
There are Five Tips I want to share with you that I have learned over the course of my own treatment. They are listed here in random order.
These tips may seem simple. They are not. If you do not pay attention to them, you may wind up hurting your own hair treatment efforts.
Again, it must be emphasized that all these tips are based on the effects that I personally had during the course of my own treatment. Continue reading
Since I have been asked a number of questions in connection with Ketoconazole, this post is dedicated to the active ingredient in NIZORAL, which is Ketoconazole.
The positive process of recovery continues from the previous month. There was significant less hair loss. However damage previously done is still visible.
As previously discussed the recovery process takes a very, very long time. This in unfortunate contrast to hair loss which is quickly visible.
I changed between CRINAGEN and PROCERIN XT about a week ago. There is not yet enough experience with CRINAGEN to be able to express an opinion as to how well it is working. Nonetheless, as opposed to P which has a nice scent, CRINAGEN has a horrible smell. Continue reading
I split this month into two parts which that are not equal. The first part which is is 80% of the post for this from the month of September because I had a very strong hair loss. I am aware of the first reactions from using those products. Although I wasn’t initially worriedy too much, the situation became chaotic. I believe the reason for this is one or both of theseis options:
1) JBCO- is very thick and I am guessing I used it too much: 2-3 times a week and also with a large amount. After I started using it only once a month I notice some changes and the hairr loss was slowly reduced.
2) REVITA SHAMPOO- as it said on the manual, this shampoo might cause some hair loss at the beginning of useing. I used it for only two month and I’m not sure what it means “at the beginning of use”. Continue reading
Procerin foam was the first product I added to my treatment after years of using Minoxidil. To be hones? I though it would change my life.
In reality, other then smelling good and easing the scalp redness it didn’t change too much. For a while now I’ve been thinking of replacing it, but the pace of changes in my treatment was very fast and intense: in the past half year there hasn’t been a single month where I kept to the same treatment – I was constantly making some changes. As a result, I had to leave it as a “base” product alongside the Minoxidil 5%, which was also, as I mentioned, replaced from liquid to foam. Continue reading
As I have noted in previous posts I arrived at the conclusion that the use of Minoxidil just for the purpose of using “Minoxidil ” is a waste of time and money.
Up to now the problem with products that combined Minoxidil with other ingredients was that either the product was too expensive to use or not convenient to use. Continue reading
After six months of treatment I thought I would be on the path of glory. Not to be.
At first I was pretty sure that if I added to Minoxidil 5% another topical treatment that inhibit DHT I would get an amazing results. Well, unfortunately it turned out that I was wrong! Continue reading
This component shows up in a number of hair growth inducing products. There are a number of very pretentious studies about it describing it as more effective than 5% minoxidil. This is why I’ve decided to gather for you a few studies I found as more reliable concerning the effects of the substance on male hair loss and in general. Continue reading
I have been asked repeatedly by readers of this blog “why at the beginning of my use of Minoxidil is there more hair loss?“
Many people who begin hair loss treatment are very surprised to discover that the beginning of their treatment brings with it more not less hair thinning and hair loss.
This in fact is one of the adverse side effects of Minoxidil at its introduction and initial use. It is important to know this and not be afraid. As a matter of fact, if you are having this effect it is one of the most positive signs that the use of Minoxidil is effective! Continue reading
The best shampoos for hair loss:
Regenepure Dr vs Revita
During the months March-April, when I started the treatment, I recognized an obvious trend of hair improvement. That made me want to share my treatment with people suffering from hair loss like me. During the last months though there has been a certain decline in the results, and I had a feeling the treatment stopped at a certain level and probably weakened since the first month.
This month was without a doubt, the worst month of my therapy. It started with an unnatural – even for me – hair lose that became a massive hair loss. At first I could not tell what was causing this problem.
I thought about it and settled on two options:
First, I was finally using a natural shampoo to replace NIZORAL and FOLTENE PHARMA MEN’S. It was possible that this change alone caused some of the disastrous effect.
Second, and perhaps the more significant of the reasons was that I used the laser comb 30 min instead of 15 min every other day. Continue reading
My first goal for this month was to stop the severe hair loss that I had the last month. I wanted to make sure that what causing it is the over use of the SPENCER FORREST X5. But it is important to note that it took some time to notice that but day by day the hair loss reduced. There were days of a normal hair loss and some a little bit above average. What sucks is that it takes a long time to grow your hair back, but it takes only couple of days to lose a lot of it. Continue reading
After I had a good result from the first month of using PROCERIN XT, I figured out that something was missing. As you can see from the picture, the front area of my head was a disaster. Even if it stopped my hair loss completely that area would still not look as I wanted. Therefore I needed to find a solution, if possible. Continue reading
As a balding guy who lacks a lot of patience and is just looking for solutions on the Web to stop or even reverse my hair loss; I usually skip the personal stories and jump straight to the results. However, in order to give a well rounded view about my own treatment that may help you in yours – I will briefly give an introduction to where I am coming from and what I am doing.
I am not yet 30 years old. For the past 7 to 8 years I have been losing my hair in a very slow but steady process. As a result I began to search for solutions. Continue reading
